Acrobatics ACTION ABILITY Acrobatics is classified as an action ability, but the ability itself is passive. Abilities like this are often very handy for beefing up a unit's core stats and do it for a nice value (AP). In this you case you get +2 DEX, +2 SPD, and +2 DF per level purchased. That's 30 points worth of stats for 5 AP which is 5 extra stats than purchasing SPD and DEX alone. Name of the game is AP/PV efficiency! Only negative being that many passive, action abilities, like this one, take an entire combat round to execute the buff. All that being said, Acrobatics may be my least favorite ability like this. The +10 DEX and +10 SPD is nice, but you can get that from only spending 4 AP on the two individually. From a value standpoint I just don't think +10 DF is worth the extra point of AP. The jump from uncommon to rare armor is an automatic +30 DF, not to mention the bonus DF from the armors. Also, all of the units that get Acrobatics, except the Kherr Alpha, are very DEX rich units already thanks to the option of Nimble. If you're not familiar with this characteristic ability make sure you read up on it! From an AP value standpoint, you're way better off maxing out Nimble and just purchasing Speed to fit your SPD needs. The DF can come from the armor as mentioned or random items.
