Ambush SQUAD ORDER Ambush is 1 of 2 special squad orders that the Vampire Palatine gets at level 5. No AP needed, its automatic. Squad orders are the orders you issue in battle that can give your entire squad a buff if successful: Attack, Charge, Hold the Line, etc. This particular one grants a -100 AF debuff to the opposing squad pairing well with any retribution strategy (counter attack if missed) or allows you to use fragile units like shape-shifters more effectively (won't get hit and die in the first round). Squad orders are like an advanced game of rock, paper, scissors. You get the buff if you win. Ambush beats everything except Ranged Attack and Hold the Line, which both beat Ambush resulting in a nasty disadvantage.
