Just plain, ol' Fashioned DAM here. The ability is passive and adds extra DAM to a unit's basic attack. The extra DAM would also apply to any skill that reads, "In addition to basic attack..." If paired with a nice basic attack, Blades can provide lethal DAM. If you were to max out a Manoan Champion's Basic Attack and Blades abilities, you could deal up to 158 DAM with one attack. That's not including any weapons, extra abilities, or items he has! This passive ability is a nice choice for units without an insta-kill type ability.

Keep in mind, you want to go heavy on AF stats if you want your basic attack to hit. Things like Strength, Dexterity, and weapon upgrades will improve your chances on hitting.
