Cheat Death

CHARACTERISTIC ABILITY  

 

     This characteristic ability's name says it all...you cheat death.  The ability is passive and it will happen automatically each time your unit is killed.  You won't avoid death every time, as the ability is percentage based.  Each level grants a better chance of cheating death and how many HP you will receive.  This ability is extremely useful, as I'm sure you've gathered, and is highly recommended on any unit. 

A few tips:

  • This ability isn't available until very high levels, so plan your AP wisely. 

  • Order Healers get Cheat Death 1-5 all at once at level 20.  Be sure to save 5 AP for it in your builds.

  • Vampires and Elves are always easy targets in battle.  Have devastating abilities and speed, but easy to kill.  The majority of them get this ability...HOORAY!

  • Pairs very nicely with Leech Life.  If you take it easy on the Speed, you could theoretically be killed before your Leech.  Allowing you to cheat death and start from scratch with full HPs.

  • The jump from Level 1 to Level 2 may not look like a good deal, but trust me, it gets better.  Level 5 is 75%.

  • Cheat Death may not be for you.  If your plan is not to be hit at all, your AP could be spent on more stats or maxing out another ability.  Be sure to go heavy on the Constitution and Willpower.
