Claws ACTION ABILITY Claws is a simple, targetable action ability which deals DAM to an enemy unit. The amount of DAM dealt raises each level purchased, and can deal up to 75 DAM maxed out. It may not look like much DAM, but it's very precise and targetable. Keep in mind that targetable abilities are key in avoiding nasty counters or take out a scary enemy. Claws is a very precise attack making it easy to pick off any straggling units with low HP. Check your ability tree before deciding on Claws, because many units which get it also get the ability Chomp. Chomp on all levels has at least the same minimum DAM, and higher max DAM. Waiting a couple more levels to get Chomp, instead of Claws, on a unit may pay off big down the road. Claws is a special type of attack, meaning the AF from your weapon upgrades and actual weapons don't apply. Nor will a weapon's effects take place upon hit...because you're not using your weapon. The success of this ability is dependant on your core stats. Melee units need to invest heavily in Strength and Dexterity, while ranged units require Intelligence and DEX. Your selection on Claws is an AP investment, so you want it to work properly.
